我想起我讀過一篇吳彥祖的專訪，他讚美他太太的芸芸優點中，其中一樣便是她凡事不會過份認真。 我不禁想，什麼時候不認真變成了優點？從小到大老師家長不是都在教導我們凡事要認真的嗎？而「認真」與「過份認真」的分界線又在哪呢？
工作要認真，但不應過份認真。就以自己本行來說，我們做服務業的，不過是提供客戶想要的東西吧，比客戶還要認真，除了有機會令客人不找數（邏輯是認真思考需要時間，而我們是按時收費的）之外，還可能自找麻煩。
玩樂要認真，但不要過份認真。認真和玩樂，本來就不很搭配 - 例如認真地講笑，認真地笑，你知道是怎樣拿捏的嗎？
感情要認真，但不要過份認真。感情從來不是一個人在山洞裡發生的事情，不論是情人還是朋友，相處起來都是關乎兩個人的互動，你認真做好自己本份就好了，對方如何接收，如何對待自己，與你如何對他 / 她並不完全掛鉤。一切隨緣好了。
做人要認真，但不要過份認真。人生如戲又好，如夢也罷，有開始便有終結。好的壞的事也一樣，總會完的。如阿信的歌詞，「我知道潮落之後一定有潮起，有什麼了不起」。倒轉說，潮起了也一樣會落，就如摩天輪一樣。過去了的事，通常不是忘了便是覺得已經不太重要了，因為反正都過去了，沒必要太認真的。這個邏輯，懂未？
如果發現自己太認真了，手執拳頭不懂放了，可能聽一下這首歌會舒服一點。
